Our Player of the Week this week was Kayden Martin. He has been doing some excellent work here at school. I appreciate his good effort and his willingness to help everyone out. He won our estimation challenge last week and rather then eating all of the goodies himself, he right away asked me if it would be alright to give everyone in the class a piece of his candy. Sharing with others is something we ALL could do a better job of so I was SUPER proud of Kayden for setting such a good example! WAY TO GO KAYDEN!
Have a super weekend and if you can find some time to READ from a library book or a favorite book you have at home it would be really good practice!
Later we walked to Sterling House for our annual Eisenhower parade! It was a chilly walk but we sounded amazing singing, "Home on the Range" to the residents.
Besides all of these AWESOME things happening today we did manage to take our weekly multiplication test and found time to squeeze in our spelling test! This weekend the ONLY thing they might have to finish is their morning handwriting paper. I am pretty sure that ALMOST all of them finished these today in school, but please double check with them to make sure.
I hope to encourage the children in my classroom to love learning the way I do. Through engaging them in meaningful activities I am certain they will develop a curiosity that will spark their imagination and cause them to want discover all they can while in third grade. I hope to be able to share, with those of you at home, everyday what we have accomplished in the classroom! Trust me, we will be doing AMAZING things!
