After lunch we got right to work with our bartering practice. The kids chose something from my secret red bag and then had to trade it three different times. At the end of market they were stuck with what they had. It was really fun to watch them bargain with one another so that they could end up with something they really wanted. No one seemed to want the deck of cards and EVERYONE seemed to try and trade for the mountain dew or the sour gummy worms!
In math we went to straight to centers again! Everyone spent a little time on our adapted mind program and worked more with money and addition. Any chance you have to practice counting money at home would be great practice for the kiddos. They are pretty good at it, but the more money we pull out the trickier it gets.
Tonight they may have the following things to finish up:
-The proverb paper
-Sweet Success math page
-Money math page
-English workbook 7-8
Be sure to thank them from me for a GREAT day! Their afternoon centers went very smoothly! We are ALL learning to walk, talk, and work like third graders!
