Tomorrow they will TAKE the WRITING section of the state assessment. Please have them get a good nights rest and eat a little something for breakfast before they come. That really helps them be able to focus and give the test their best effort.
After the testing was finished we took time to read another chapter from "Chocolate Touch". Today John's toothpaste even tasted like chocolate. Most of us wanted to go find toothpaste like his to have in our bathrooms. We are anxious to see if this was just a one day deal for him, or if EVERYTHING he tries and eats EVERYDAY will taste like CHOCOLATE. Kinda makes you wonder if this is the case, if he will ever get TIRED of CHOCOLATE. I guess we will have to wait and see. Chapter 4 comes tomorrow.
In math we worked more with FRACTIONS and PROBABILITY. The kiddos did a versatile center, a multiplication game center, and a journal page with me. We were interrupted by a FIRE DRILL, but don't panic because it was only a DRILL and we did a GREAT job getting outside quickly so that Mr. Adams could see we know what to do if we would ever need to evacuate our building.
Tonight we might have to finish:
1. Journal page from centers
2. Versatile paper over fractions
3. Week 1 morning work sheet
4. a plural chart page
Don't forget the end of our MARCH AR CHALLENGE. It is quickly approaching so if your son or daughter has not qualified yet they need to be READING. This month the goal was 5 points.
Have a SUPER evening!
