A few things to remember:
Tonight we can play the spelling game or the sod house game for a treat at school. Sometimes a treat is classroom money and sometimes a treat means a snack of some sort.
We may have had math sheet 1 and 2 to finish and also spelling sheet 1 and 2 to finish. Those two papers need to be ready to be handed in first thing in the morning.
We are learning that third graders have to move fast to get everything done in a day! We also talked today about "one google" having one hundred zeros. Man oh man were we amazed!
Today was another GREAT day! We were busy, busy, busy! This morning we took some time to work in our READING notebooks. We have 9 vocabulary words we should be studying before our selection test next Wednesday. You can find a list of the words on our "Story of the Week" tab if you are wondering how we are doing. This afternoon we ran around making a HUMAN number line. It was a little harder then we thought it was going to be when we started but we are always up for a CHALLENGE! We ended the day watching Mrs. Elder complete the ALS ice bucket challenge. We kinda thought that even though the water was ICE COLD she was the lucky one because our recess time is pretty hot at 3:00. Tomorrow we are the ones dumping the water because she challenged Mrs. Jenkins. We can think about dumping water on her ALL day long! HA HA HA. Below are some pictures from our day! Enjoy them.
I hope to encourage the children in my classroom to love learning the way I do. Through engaging them in meaningful activities I am certain they will develop a curiosity that will spark their imagination and cause them to want discover all they can while in third grade. I hope to be able to share, with those of you at home, everyday what we have accomplished in the classroom! Trust me, we will be doing AMAZING things!
