Besides centers, we worked with a partner on our TEN IMPORTANT SENTENCES from our story. Today we decided that these were fairly EASY because our story was set up in paragraphs which made skimming much easier for us!
In math we worked on a journal page reviewing lines, line segments, rays, and angles. Mrs. Jenkins was very IMPRESSED with all we knew and remembered from our previous lessons! We also had an ART lesson with Mr. Chalmers and had a chance to work with all kinds of SHAPES from our GEOMETRY TEMPLATE. Then, we had a chance to further our skill level in ADAPTED MIND on the computers. A couple of us are over half way through the third grade curriculum! Mrs. Jenkins will take us to LUNCH if we master 100% of it so we had better get BUSY with this. It is something we can practice on at home as well as at school!
Next week we will kick off our KANSAS DAY CELEBRATION. Our school in hosting DRESS UP DAYS to get all of us involved in learning all we can about our STATE.
Monday is farmer day and we can dress like a farmer.
Tuesday is favorite Kansas team day - wonder how many wildcats or jayhawks will show up?
Wednesday is Kansas snow day so we can come in our PJ's
Thursday is PICTURE DAY so we need to dress nice
Friday is Crusader day so we should wear RED to support our CRUSADERS
This weekend we may need to finish:
~a follow the rule morning work page
~math journal 128-129
~a fact and opinion reading review sheet
~our ten important sentence page
*We can read AR if we are not qualified for our AR party yet
*We can work on our KANSAS DAY station if we want to
Have a SUPER weekend and enjoy the SUNSHINE!
